Einstein, Albert

Perhaps the greatest thinker of the 20th century. Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity postulates the speed of light as the fastest speed at which information can be transmitted. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity deals with the effects of gravity on the geometry of space, including the formula E=mc2 (energy equals mass times the speed of light squared), which refers to the balance of energy and mass in the universe.
