Celera Genomics
Celera Genomics is a company whose mission is to become the definitive source of genomic and related biological information. The company published the assembled and annotated Drosophila genome on March 24, 2000. Completion of sequencing of one human was announced in April 2000, which was followed by the announcement of the first assembly of the human genome in June 2000. Publication of the genome is slated for early 2001. The company intends to complete sequencing and assembly of the mouse by early 2001.
