Avatar
Literally, an avatar is an embodiment or a bodily manifestation of the divine. The Sanskrit word Avatara means "the descent of God" or simply "incarnation." On the World Wide Web, avatars have come to mean graphical, virtual representations of people that interact in multi-user domains and represent people in virtual spaces.
